Senior Writer
Zipper Interactive is looking for an Senior Writer to work within the Design department to create screenplays, in-game dialogue scripts, provide quality control on recorded VO and cinematics, create supporting content for websites and promotional needs and generally handle all writing tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Help create interesting, compelling game narratives and scenarios for all titles, big and small.
- Write creative, dramatic, genre agnostic in-game and cinematic dialogue
- Create three-dimensional characters and assist with the casting process
- Attend recording sessions to assist with quality control and character consistency
- Review dialogue in-game for quality and “fit”
- Review and edit internally or externally generated written content
- Assist with writing for promotional and supplementary game content (websites, marketing, trailers)
- Keep an eye on global socio-political events and trends around the world
Qualifications:
- Love of games, popular culture and visual entertainment
- Desire to push the quality of storytelling in games
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate major (Screen writing, English, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Plus: previous employment as a writer with a creative group or game studio
- Major Plus: credited work on a AAA video game or TV/Film project
